Real metrics. Real reasoning. Real fun.

In Metricize, students estimate real-world quantities using metric units — then use dice to show how confident they are in their answers. The better the estimate and the smarter the risk, the more points they earn.

Students aren’t just converting units. They’re building number sense in grams, meters, kilograms, and more — while laughing at the wildly absurd guesses from their classmates.

This fast-paced classroom board game is designed for whole-class engagement. Up to 30 students can play at once. The teacher reads each question aloud, and students gather around five game boards. Each group of six plays simultaneously, creating energy, competition, and constant practice with metric reasoning.

Example Question

How many grams would you need to add to the mass of a squirrel so that it equals the mass of a bobcat?

Questions like this force students to think proportionally and estimate using metric units that often feel unfamiliar.
